In Supreme Leader Snoke's throne room Kylo Ren sliced the ruler in half and freed Rey. The pair then proceeded to take out all of Snoke's avenging Praetorian Guards. After the battle, Rey expected Kylo Ren to join her, but instead, he assumed control of the First Order himself.
