BB-8 was the Droid companion and co-pilot of Poe Dameron. When Poe was captured by the First Order, BB-8 escaped to Jakku, eventually meeting up with Rey and Finn. Once back with the Resistance, BB-8 helped locate Luke Skywalker on the planet Ahch-To.
